Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Departure from Delhi
Meet at Kashmiri Gate Metro Station and leave Delhi between 9:00 PM and 11:30 PM for the overnight Volvo journey to Manali. Exact boarding details are shared around 24 hours before departure.
Day 2: Journey towards Jispa
Reach Manali between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM, transfer to Jispa via Atal Tunnel and Sissu Waterfall, check in to the stay, attend the night briefing session, and stay overnight at Jispa after dinner.
Day 3: Jispa to Padum via Shinkula Pass
Freshen up early and leave for Padum via Shinkula Pass and Gonbo Rongjon. Take a lunch stop at Purne, reach Padum, check in, and stay overnight at Padum after dinner.
Day 4: Padum exploration and monastery belt
After breakfast, explore the Padum side of Zanskar with visits to Zangla Palace, Stongdey Monastery, Karsha Monastery, and Padum market before dinner and another overnight stay at Padum.
Day 5: Drang Drung and Pensila exploration
Start after breakfast and visit Sani Lake, Drang Drung Glacier, and Pensila Pass with its lake views. Return to Padum for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Phugtal Monastery and Gonbo Rongjon
Have breakfast and begin the journey towards Gonbo Rongjon. Visit Phugtal Monastery, stop for lunch at Purne, and spend the night at the Gonbo Rongjon campsite after dinner.
Day 7: Baralacha La, Suraj Taal, Deepak Taal, and Manali
After breakfast, start the return journey with visits to Suraj Taal, Deepak Taal, and Baralacha La Pass. Transfer to Manali via Atal Tunnel and continue with the overnight journey to Delhi.
Day 8: Arrival in Delhi
Arrive in Delhi around 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM and say goodbye to the group. Travelers taking onward trains or flights should keep a post-12:00 PM buffer on the return date.
