Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Departure from Delhi
Meet at Kashmiri Gate Metro Station, complete the expedition briefing and documentation, and leave Delhi between 9:00 PM and 11:30 PM for the overnight journey toward Shimla.
Day 2: Shimla to Sangla or Chitkul belt
Reach Shimla, continue toward Sangla, pass Karcham Dam and the Baspa River, visit Chitkul, and stay around Chitkul, Rakcham, or Sangla after dinner.
Day 3: Kalpa, Khab Sangam, and Nako
Drive toward Kalpa, stop at the Kinner Kailash viewpoint, continue on the Hindustan-Tibet Highway, pause at Khab Sangam, and stay overnight in Nako.
Day 4: Lepcha La, Gue, Tabo, Dhankar, Pin Valley, and Kaza
Start early for Lepcha La Pass if weather and road conditions allow, visit Gue Monastery, continue to Tabo Monastery and Dhankar Monastery, pass the Pin Valley side, and reach Kaza by evening.
Day 5: Hikkim, Komic, and Langza
Explore the high-altitude villages around Kaza, including Hikkim, Komic, and Langza, then return to Kaza for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Key Monastery, Kibber, and Kaza market
Visit Key Monastery, enjoy the Kibber side views, spend time around Kaza market and cafes, and stay another night in Kaza.
Day 7: Chicham Bridge, Kunzum Pass, and Chandrataal
Cross Chicham Bridge, continue through the rough Batal stretch and water crossings, cross Kunzum Pass, explore Chandrataal Lake, and stay overnight at the campsite. Double sharing is not available at Chandrataal camps.
Day 8: Return to Manali and depart for Delhi
Drive early via Batal and the Gramphu off-road stretch, cross Atal Tunnel, reach Manali, freshen up, and board the evening AC bus back to Delhi.
Day 9: Arrival in Delhi
Arrive in Delhi around 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Travelers planning onward trains or flights should keep a post-12:00 PM buffer.
